Dr. Denise Jones grew up in rural northern Lehigh County, where her love of animals began while helping on her grandparents’ farm. She graduated second in her class from Northwestern Lehigh High School in 1990 and went on to attend Delaware Valley College, where she met her husband and graduated with honors in 1994. Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1997.
Her career began in mixed animal medicine, followed by equine practice, before she transitioned to small animal medicine exclusively. In 2024, she sold her own small animal practice after 20 successful years of caring for pets and their families.
Dr. Jones lives on a farmette in Schuylkill County with her husband, dogs, cats, and several horses. Outside of work, she enjoys trail riding and cutting with her horses, archery hunting, hiking with her dogs, pickleball, and reading. Her professional interests include preventive medicine and dentistry.
