Since then, it has grown to the full-service, AAHA-Accredited veterinary hospital it is today. Our veterinarians have over 40 years of combined experience. Dr. Priebe came to Leesport in 2001 and expanded our veterinary services in surgery, ultrasound, and internal medicine. Dr. Elo joined the practice in 2004 and Dr. Wich in 2012, further adding knowledge, skills, and ability to serve our clients and their pets. Our staff has grown as well. We have six certified veterinary technicians and six very experienced and knowledgeable customer service representatives. In 2014, we became certified by the American Animal Hospital Association, joining other similar elite veterinary hospitals across the nation who are committed to the utmost standards of veterinary care. Only 17% of hospitals earn this distinction.

- [Dr. Denise Jones](https://leesportanimalhospital.com/meet-our-team/dr-denise-jones/): Dr. Denise Jones grew up in rural northern Lehigh County, where her love of animals began while helping on her grandparents’ farm. She graduated second in her class from Northwestern Lehigh High School in 1990 and went on to attend Delaware Valley College, where she met her husband and graduated with honors in 1994. Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1997.
- [Dr. Joy Redmond](https://leesportanimalhospital.com/meet-our-team/dr-joy-redmond/): Dr. Redmond grew up in rural Michigan and went to Michigan State University for her undergraduate and veterinary degree. Her initial passion was with horses and she started her veterinary career at thoroughbred and harness horse race tracks As her family grew to three children, Dr. Redmond transitioned into small animal medicine at Dandy Acres Veterinary Clinic in South Lyon MI. She eventually became owner of the veterinary clinic where she spent 15 rewarding years developing a strong connection to her staff, clients and patients. Dr. Redmond most recent career as an Attending Veterinarian for LabCorp transferred her to Pennsylvania more than 10 years ago. She fell in love with the rolling hills, farmland and woods and she and her husband purchased an old stone farmhouse near Leesport. She enjoys the outdoors and nature and spends her free time landscaping and caring for her cats, dogs, chickens, goats and koi fish. She looks forward to getting to know you and helping to care for your beloved pets.

In 2015 she graduated from York Technical Institute and shortly there after became certified. In her free time she loves being with her Great Dane (Willow), gardening, house projects, car shows, being anywhere tropical, and spending time with family and friends.

She graduated from Johnson College in 2019 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Shortly after graduating she received her certification to be a Certified Veterinary Technician. She lives with her husband, Trevor and 2 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities.

In her free time, she enjoys camping and attending her daughters’ basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and track games.

She earned her DVM from the Ohio State University in 2001. Dr. Elo has been with the practice since 2004 and became our lead veterinarian in 2025. She currently resides in Schuylkill County with her husband, two adorable sons, and three cats.
